When you’re dumped, there are three truths:

1) no one ever really dies of heartbreak, even though the pain of it is just as bad now as it was in 7th grade. the darkness will lift eventually, and it will get better. rent SWINGERS for confirmation.

2) everything happens for a reason, and while you may not be able to see it now, this break up may set in motion a series of events that could lead to finding a far greater happiness in the long run.

3) living well is really the best revenge and, trust me, you'll have your moment of triumph. but when you do run into this cad in the future, when youre looking great and doing spectacularly well, the irony is that you'll be busy mulling over 2 questions that will prevent you from laughing in his face: how is it possible that i've forgotten his name? and good god! what on earth did i ever see in him?
